A wildfire has burned through around 3,600 acres in Miami-Dade County, to the north of Florida Keys, according to the Florida Forest Service, with part of Card Sound Road closed on Tuesday evening. Newsweek contacted Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for comment on Wednesday via email.

Dade, which broke out on Tuesday afternoon, March 18, continued to burn on Thursday, March 20. The fire has now burned through 24,000 acres, with 30% of the fire contained. The 18-Mile Stretch of US Highway 1 was closed again on Thursday morning for the third day in a row.
