Playoff baseball in Texas is back. This week, teams begin play in the bi-district round of the Texas UIL State Baseball Championships at various locations across the state. For the first time ever, there will be two champions crowned in each class this season (one per division) for Class 2A-6A.

Max Satterwhite, McCallum: A junior pitcher/first baseman, he’s helped a young Knights team to the playoffs by hitting .397 with four home runs and 34 RBIs and recording a 1.79 ERA and 55 strikeouts.
