Ethan Hawke is set to develop a remake of 20th Century Studios’ 1950 film The Gunfighter , which originally starred Gregory Peck . Hawke, who is a big fan of the original film, is set to write the script with writing partner Shelby Gaines .

Studios is currently developing a remake of The Gunfighter, based on the classic 1950 Western movie. Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke has signed on to pen and produce the upcoming reimagining, which was originally led by legendary actor Gregory Peck.
