Archaeologists have found the long-lost tomb of King Thutmose II, helping shed more light on ancient Egypt at its peak.

Archaeologists in Egypt have found the tomb of King Thutmose II — the first discovery of an ancient royal tomb since King Tutankhamun's in 1922.

The historically important reveal is said to mark the end of a search for the lost tombs of the kings of ancient Egypt’s Eighteenth Dynasty — which ran from approximately 1550 BC to 1292 BC. The finding comes more than one hundred years after King Tut’s remains were discovered in 1922, CBS News reported.
