Often called the pink moon, April’s full moon will rise this Saturday. The fourth full moon of the year, and the first of astronomical spring, it also happens to be a micromoon — the opposite of a supermoon. It will reach its peak at 8:22 p.m. Eastern time.

Most people are familiar with the term “supermoon,” but a “micromoon” will rise in the night skies this weekend.

Sunday will see the rise of the first full Moon of spring, known as the Pink Moon. Despite its name, it won’t be the biggest or the brightest.
