Colossal Biosciences said it used ancient DNA from the extinct species to create three dire wolf pups named Romulus, Remus and Khaleesi.
Dallas-based Colossal Biosciences has successfully resurrected the extinct dire wolf, using ancient DNA and gene-editing technology to create three hybrid pups.
Colossal has managed to breed after genetically engineering ancient dire wolf DNA into genomes of grey wolves, their closest living relatives.
