Keller’s school board may have abandoned the idea of splitting the district, but they can’t walk away from multiple lawsuits and investigations.

Keller ISD has scrapped its district split plan in response to strong resident opposition and the difficulty of equitably distributing existing bond debt, which would have incurred costs of tens of millions of dollars.

The controversial proposal to divide the district along Highway 377, which was presented in January, was met with controversy.
