Lady Gaga's seventh studio album, which has been referred to as LG7 for the past few years, finally has an official title: Mayhem, set for release on March 7. The album announcement follows a days-long countdown hosted on the musician's official website.

Lady Gaga has been building up to the release of her new album. This won’t be like Harlequin, the full-length jazz-standards Joker: Folie à Deux tie-in that Gaga released back in September. She’d probably be OK if we all forgot that one existed.

Beforehand, Gaga is one of dozens of artists confirmed for the FireAid benefit on Jan. 30 at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum in Los Angeles. She will also headline Coachella on April 11 and 18, with a proper tour expected later in the year.
