MANISTEE, MI – Police have identified two people who were found dead at a home in Manistee. According to the Manistee Police Department, Brett Haik, 61, and Melissa Haik, 68, died from gunshots to the head in the 900 block of High Street around 2:12 p.m. on Jan. 12. Both lived at the address, police said, and there is no threat to the public.

D.C. police on Tuesday identified the man they say shot three officers who had been summoned to the lobby of an apartment building in D.C.’s NoMa neighborhood early Monday for a report of gunfire.

Rio Rancho police said they couldn't find a gun in an area where an officer shot someone allegedly found in a firing stance during a call Saturday night.
