Flood watches were in effect for burn areas from recent fires that broke out around the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in Los Angeles, Altadena and Castaic Lake.
Board also OK’d fire recovery funds and green-lit an investigation into fire alerts in the Eaton fire on the night of Jan. 7.
Recent rainfall and increased debris from fire zones have prompted Los Angeles County public health officials to issue an advisory and close several miles of coastline.
Fire-affected residents can receive assistance from a number of county, state, and federal departments and agencies at any one of the three centers.
