For the first time ever, the New Jersey Devils headed into Utah to take on the Hockey Club. In a very tight affair, the Devils squeaked out a 3-1 win. Nico Daws stopped 24 of 25 (.960%) in the contest.

It was a rough go of it the last time out for the New Jersey Devils. A third period collapse against the Colorado Avalanche resulted in a 5-1 loss, and the Devils looked to get back to their winning ways in their first ever trip to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Hockey Club.

Karel Vejmelka skated out for his fourth consecutive ... Vejmelka’s early save on Timo Meier’s breakaway on Saturday gave his team momentum. He was also a key piece of Utah’s penalty kill.

Nico Hischier and Curtis Lazar also scored as the Devils won for the fourth time in their last five road games.
