Celtic have completed the return of Jota from Rennes while Kyogo Furuhashi has finalised a move in the opposite direction. Japan striker Kyogo, who joined Celtic in summer 2021 at the same time as Jota, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the club sitting third bottom of Ligue 1.

Jota spent one year with Al-Ittihad before an offseason move to Rennes, which has sold the Portuguese forward to Celtic for a reported 10 million euros ($10.5 million). Celtic got a reported 29 million ($30.5 million) selling him after his first spell in Glasgow.

Ligue 1 side Rennes signed Japanese international Kyogo Furuhashi from Celtic on Monday, with Portuguese forward Jota rejoining the Scottish champions. The Portugal under-21 international left the Glasgow outfit to join Saudi side Al Ittihad before moving to Rennes in August last year.
