Washington Commanders lineman Sam Cosmi sent a heartfelt message to fans after his brutal injury ended his season.

There was only one blemish in Washington's 45-31 win over the Detroit Lions Saturday in the NFC divisional round. Right guard Sam Cosmi went down with an injury in the second quarter and did not return.

Cosmi suffered a knee injury in Saturday's divisional-round game against the Lions and is questionable to return. Cosmi got rolled up on during Washington's touchdown run in the second quarter. He was pinned backward for a few seconds and then had to be helped off the field.
