SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A Little Blue Penguin at Birch Aquarium died earlier this month, the aquarium announced Tuesday.

The jewelry store is located just a few blocks from the ocean, so the bird, a young blue penguin, didn’t have to travel too far off course to arrive to that spot. And she didn’t exactly seem lost.
