Former Chicago Bears head coach and NFL defensive back Dick Jauron has died at the age of 74, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Jauron spent 28 years coaching in the NFL after reaching a Pro Bowl and earning enshrinement in the College Football Hall of Fame as a player.

Dick Jauron, who coached the Bears from 1999 to 2003 and guided them to the 2001 NFC Central division title, died at 74 on Saturday.
