The final round of rain for the week is expected to deliver between a tenth and a quarter of an inch of rain along the coast and valleys. But don't put umbrellas away yet.

The same storm system driving severe weather elsewhere in the country this week is fueling one of the most widespread and potent rounds of rain in Southern California since the historic January fires.

Evacuation warnings and orders have been issued for Los Angeles communities near the Eaton, Palisades and Sunset fire burn zones ahead of the rain.

The Southern California area has one more day of sunny conditions before a set of storms will bring moderate to heavy rain and snow over the next couple of days, forecasters say.

KTLA’s Kaj Goldberg says Southern California can expect dry and warmer weather over the weekend as high pressure moves into the area. Early next week, temperatures will cool down with a chance of showers between Monday and Tuesday.
