With McDavid’s four-assist effort to propel the Oilers past the San Jose Sharks on Friday night, he reached a new height. He recorded his seventh 70-assist season of his NHL career. Only two players have recorded more than 70-assist seasons: Gretzky and Mario Lemieux. Like I said, he’s reaching new heights.
