Veteran high school football coach Harry Wayne Parrish of Dothan died on Monday, according to a news release from the Alabama High School Athletic Association. The AHSAA said the 76-year-old had been suffering from a heart condition for several weeks.

Wiregrass Sports Hall of Famer, Harry Wayne Parrish died Monday morning, Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd confirmed. According to the Alabama High School Football Historical Society, Parrish graduated from Dothan High School in 1966 where he played football before attending the University of Alabama.
