Chelsea are planning a major squad refresh ahead of the 2025/26 season. Enzo Maresca has already completed a double transfer swoop on Sporting CP with Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo set to arrive at the club in June.

Jadon Sancho has urged his representatives to pursue a return to Borussia Dortmund regardless of where he ends up after his loan with Chelsea comes to an end. Chelsea have an obligation to sign Sancho permanently this summer but can break that clause by paying a penalty fee of £5m to send him back to parent club Manchester United,

Sancho has also given no sign that he is unhappy at Chelsea, or with the way this season is going — though he did acknowledge in an interview with the club’s in-house media after the 1-0 home win over Leicester earlier this month that his return of two goals in 23 Premier League appearances leaves plenty of room for improvement.
