Kia America is recalling 137,256 vehicles in the United States over concerns that piston oil rings may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can result in engine damage, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Tuesday.

The NHTSA recently announced recalls for nearly 300,000 vehicles from automakers Mercedes, Audi, Genisis and more.

Benz, Volkswagen, BMW and Hyundai have issued recalls affecting nearly 300,000 vehicles due to various safety concerns. These include engine damage, faulty door locks and brake system issues among others.

Volkwagen and Audi have recalled nearly 60,500 cars from seven different makes, models and years due to a failure to display the gear position.
