Attorneys for council member Andy Friederichs plan to seek early dismissal, as former council member Kelly Rae Kirkpatrick and other propose seeking evidence through court filings.

The keys to City Hall are up for grabs on Nov. 4, when all 13 City Council seats and the mayor’s office are up for election.

The filing period for the mayoral election is July 29 to Aug. 12, and additional candidates may yet join the pool.

Matt Privratsky was appointed to serve as an interim city council member in St. Paul after the previous member resigned.
