Ford Motor Co. has recalled more than 240,000 SUVs for a seat belt issue.

Ford Motor is recalling 240,510 vehicles in the U.S. over potential seat belt issues, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday.

This recall affects many more vehicles, though, covering 240,510 Ford Explorers and Lincoln Aviators from model year 2020 to 2021. The vast majority of these SUVs are Explorers, since just 23,947 Aviators are included.

Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator SUVs are being recalled because their seat belts may not have been installed correctly.
