The Ministry's Religion in Fire project conducted a survey on the damage to religious sites. As of Feb. 2, 2025, Russian forces have damaged or completely destroyed 642 religious buildings, 596 of which were Christian churches.

A pre-dawn Russian missile salvo on the Ukrainian capital killed at least one civilian and injured four others on Wednesday, sparking several fires in the city of three million, Ukrainian officials said.

The attack comes after president Zelensky suggested peace negotiations with Russia could include a territory swap.
