Brisbane's Olympic stadium has been announced today — but to get here, there have been more twists and turns than a gold medal winning gymnastics routine.

A new 63,000-seat stadium at inner Brisbane's Victoria Park is the centrepiece of the Olympic plan that was revealed by the Queensland government after a 100-day review and plenty of false starts.
