MSI’s RTX 5090 SUPRIM LIQUID is a luxury GPU that delivers cooler temps, quieter operation, and unmatched performance, but its $2,500 price ensures it’s only for the most hardcore users.

It's the second public announcement from MSI regarding a shortage of GeForce RTX 50 series stock, the previous one coming from MSI China. It also follows a heads-up direct from NVIDIA.

MSI stores will be able to deliver limited stock of the new graphic cards, and it will be delayed to February 6, 2025.

MSI’s China branch acknowledged that GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards would be in short supply for the official launch. This disclosure has raised concerns among prospective buyers who had anticipated wider product availability from day one.

Anyone who has been around in PC gaming for a long time will know that every time a new high-end graphics card gets launched, supply is never enough to meet demand. In the case of the GeForce RTX 5090, board partner MSI says that its cards will have limited availability and it's down to an insufficient number of GB202 GPUs from Nvidia.
