Max Verstappen has revealed who his 'strongest teammate' during his F1 career and it wasn't even a competition.

Max Verstappen has said the name of the driver in the other Red Bull cockpit is far less important than the car itself as he looks to retain the Drivers’ title. The Dutchman won his fourth championship in 2024 and did so by dragging an underperforming RB20 to the front – but he has warned that fixing the car is the biggest challenge the Milton Keynes team face.

In 2024, Kevin Magnussen became the first driver since Romain Grosjean to receive an F1 race ban after accumulating 12 penalty points. As a result, he was forced to miss the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, with Oliver Bearman stepping in.

After a bizarre fan response, Red Bull's junior Formula 1 team, VCARB, have declared a team-mate change via social media. VCARB recently underwent a driver change after Liam Lawson was promoted to the main Red Bull team for the 2025 season.

Max Verstappen said last year Helmut Marko "has to stay" at Red Bull, which he admitted "wasn't a bluff" on his part.

Max Verstappen, who won his fourth World Championship in 2024, in his typical frame of mind has stated that though he does not feel that there are any weaknesses in his game yet given the unstable nature of the sport he is open to improving.

Red Bull were uncharacteristically undeveloped last year, failing to introduce significant solutions to the RB20. Thanks to McLaren’s unforced errors and moments of brilliance from Verstappen, they managed to clinch the drivers’ crown.
