Ten people were forced out of their Phoenix homes on Tuesday, Christmas Eve, after an apartment fire spread through four units, according to the Phoenix Fire Department. Just after 9 a.m., firefighters responded to calls of smoke on the second floor of an apartment building near State Route 51 and Glendale Avenue, according to Capt. Scott Douglas.

Ten people are out of their homes ahead of Christmas after an apartment fire broke out Tuesday morning in central Phoenix. Phoenix fire officials say they were called just after 9 a.m. to the area near 19th and Glendale Avenues for a reported apartment fire.
