Just ahead of the deadline to declare his intention, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers has opted to forgo his remaining eligibility and enter the 2025 NFL Draft.

Ewers, a redshirt junior with one season of eligibility remaining, led the Longhorns to the College Football Playoff semifinals in each of the last two years. In 36 games at Texas from 2022-24, he passed for 9,128 yards and 64 touchdowns.

Quinn Ewers is heading to the NFL. After much speculation as to whether the Texas quarterback would enter the transfer portal, where he reportedly had multiple lucrative offers, the junior has decided to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.

The decision was largely expected after Ewers told ESPN last week that he didn’t plan to return to college football in 2025.
