Wisconsin defensive back Xavier Lucas is at the center of a major impending legal battle after his lawyer, Darren Heitner, announced that he would transfer to Miami. At issue is whether revenue-sharing agreements with schools are binding in the wake of the upcoming House v.

The NCAA requires schools to adhere to a player’s transfer request, but Lucas' name never appeared in the portal.

Wisconsin said a “binding two-year NIL agreement” was violated and that the school has “credible information indicating impermissible contact” between Lucas and UM football personnel prior to Lucas’ r
