Hot on the heels of Ford’s Mustang Mach-E NASCAR prototype, Chevrolet rolls out the Blazer-based EV.R. Electrification is shouldering its way into motorsports just as it has with our everyday new vehicles.

In the leadup to the 2025 Daytona 500 Chevrolet revealed its vision for an electric NASCAR racer. Despite being fully immersed in North American stock car racing for decades, Chevrolet is actively exploring the possibilities of an electric stock car series-seemingly ignoring everything General Motors knows about the average NASCAR enjoyer.

Like the Ford, and like NASCAR's unbranded prototype, the three-motor setup makes the Blazer EV.R all-wheel drive. Those motors draw from a 78-kWh liquid-cooled battery, which is stored inside a modified Next Gen chassis. The car's suspension is also taken from that car, another common feature with the other two demonstrators.
