A t a time of political tension in Germany, the Bauhaus – arguably one of the most influential architecture, art and design schools in the world – has become the target of far-right attacks.
A watercolor by Egon Schiele, “Boy in a Sailor Suit,” is scheduled to be sold next month at Christie’s in London after the auction house brokered a settlement.
Christie’s, which values the work at more than $1 million, said the proceeds from any sale would be shared with the heirs of an art collector killed in a concentration camp.
