The suspect was taken into custody and hospitalized with "minor injuries" from K-9 bites. Once cleared medically, the man was booked into the El Paso County jail on the outstanding warrants.

The K9 was deployed to assist the officer and mistakenly bit the officer's arm during the struggle. The officer was taken to a local medical facility for treatment and has since been released.
