Providence and dozens of doctors at a hospital in Portland, Oregon, have reached a tentative agreement after 27 days of strike

Hospitalists and palliative care physicians at Providence’s largest hospital in Oregon reached a tentative contract agreement with the health system late Wednesday, a deal that could end the largest health care strike in state history if workers sign off.

Nurses, physicians, and providers represented by the ONA at Providence Women’s Clinic ratified their tentative agreement. Providence says they will begin to return to work on Thursday, February 6. Hospitalists at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center continue to negotiate. They remain on strike.
