The Boston Bruins said they will begin the search for a new head coach. Interim coach Joe Sacco a candidate to stay on the job he took over when Jim Montgomery was fired 20 games into the season.

Joe Sacco would like to be back as head coach of the Bruins on a permanent basis, but hasn't been told what his future holds from the Boston brass.

General manager Don Sweeney acknowledged that a head-coaching candidate would ideally have “some form of NHL exposure.”
