French President Emmanuel Macron has once again taken a strong stance against Russia, calling it the “sole aggressor” in the Ukraine war. Speaking in Portugal, Macron emphasized that Europe was right to support Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago—and must continue to do so.

Macron said in a social media Q&A that he would warn Trump against appearing weak to Russian President Vladimir Putin. It comes after the US held direct talks with Russia for the first time since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
