Where runs were hard to come by in the first two games of the series against the Evansville Purple Aces, it seemed much easier in game two of the doubleheader.

Missouri baseball swept Evansville in a doubleheader Saturday, beating the Purple Aces 6-2 and 17-7 in seven innings at Taylor Stadium. Those victories came on the heels of a 7-6 loss to the visitors Friday night. The Tigers (6-5) had 11 hits in the first game, tying their third most in a game this season.

Every player in the MU lineup recorded a hit as the Tigers finished with 15, but it wasn't enough in a 9-5 home loss Sunday afternoon.
