A joker single-handedly added an Aldi branch in Wales on Google Maps. And this was followed quite immediately by a rush of motorists, and even an Aldi milk vendor got stuck in the small agricultural road in this remote corner of Wales.

A non-existent Aldi has wreaked havoc on a rural village after mysteriously appearing on Google Maps. People in Cyffylliog, Denbighshire, said a stream of cars had come through the area and a milk tanker got stuck after a pin was added saying Aldi had a store there.

Shoppers and a delivery driver have been left short-changed after they headed to a phantom Aldi store deep in the countryside. The driver of a large milk tanker that became stranded was among the victims deceived by the ‘pin’ in rural north Wales.

A local resident complained an 'endless stream' of holiday makers were driving along a country lane in North Wales 'looking confused' after a phantom location pin appeared on Google Maps
