The Boston Bruins have been without one of their best players, defenseman Hampus Lindholm, for almost two months. And while Lindholm is making progress in his recovery from a lower body injury, he's not yet ready to return to game action for the Original Six franchise.

Hampus Lindholm is still not cleared to return from a months-long injury after taking a puck off his knee in St. Louis.

Hampus Lindholm is getting closer to skating. Bruins ’ interim coach Joe Sacco indicated that the injured defenseman is progressing after seven weeks on the shelf with a lower-body injury. But beyond that, the Bruins remained vague.

Lindholm was felled in the first period of the Nov. 12 game against the Blues, struck by a puck that appeared to make contact on or above a knee.
