Missouri women's basketball coach Robin Pingeton announced her resignation effective at the end of the season.

Fans stood in the arena as the Mizzou video board played a tribute for Pingeton, commemorating her 15 years coaching Mizzou women's basketball. The video included several notable games including the 70-69 OT winner over South Carolina and then- No. 13 Mizzou's upset over then-No. 11 Tennessee, in front of the program record 11,092 fans.

Her contract with Mizzou was due to expire in April and had not been renewed. Pingeton and the university confirmed Wednesday that she would not be returning to the program.

Pingeton has helped the Tigers reach some of the highest highs in program history, but the program has hit a wall in recent years. The Tigers have finished below .500 in the South
