An SUV got stuck in a sinkhole near Jefferson High School in the city's near northwest side on Saturday afternoon.

Heavy rains were continuing to lash Puerto Rico and flash flood warnings persisted across the U.S. territory, submerging streets, stranding families and causing at least one death.

An entirely blameless person was trapped underground, and even a search operation could not be conducted for three months.
