I suspect Firaxis was working on an impossibly tight deadline imposed by 2K, and they seem to have prioritized making sure the core game mechanics are functional, both in a technical sense and in an enjoyment sense, while leaving fixable aspects (such as the UI) for when they actually have time for it.

Jan 17, 2018 · There is no "Firaxis report crash". When the game crashes in most ways that cause the process to actually exit, a thing pops up to report the crash. The crash reporter is the result of the crash, whatever the cause.

Jul 25, 2020 · When you're reporting a crash to desktop, the logs, dxdiag and the dump file would help Firaxis to resolve the issue and should be attached to your post describing the crash. You can follow those instructions to get the dxdiag.txt file Your logs folder and the crash dump file have to be zipped to be attached to a post.
