The last new Ferrari casting from Hot Wheels was the LaFerrari, released in 2 colors in 2014. The last Ferraris released were the 599 GTB and 599XX, both released in 2015, but both were made in 2014 before the end of Mattel's Ferrari licensing.

Jul 9, 2023 · What I heard at the time, Ferrari's exclusivity deal with Mattel expired and was up for re-negotiation. Mattel and Ferrari couldn't agree on a price, and May Cheong group swooped in. Ferrari only deals in exclusive licences in 1/64 scale, so anyone who wants to sublicence Ferrari (like Tomica) has to go through May Cheong (Bburago/Maisto).
