Apr 17, 2024 · We have secured Saturday, September 14, 2024, for our only fundraising event – Walk Like MADD. We will be returning to Kaka’ako Waterfront Park for our signature fundraising event of the year. All money raised supports services and programs provided in Hawaii.

Hawaii continues to be on the path to eliminating drunk driving. Since passing its ignition interlock law for all first-time convicted drunk drivers in 2011, the state has seen an increase in the number of interlocks installed.

Aug 31, 2023 · Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Hawaii and its partners have reduced drunk driving fatalities on our roads by over 50% since the 1980s. Our core activities — victim support services, working community partnerships, public policy, and educational programs –continue to be central to our work.

Jun 28, 2024 · Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Hawaii proudly honored 19 law enforcement officers statewide and presented one officer with the MADD Hawaii Lifetime Achievement Award for their exceptional efforts in reducing alcohol and drug-related fatalities.

Since 1980, MADD has worked to end drugged and drunk driving, prevent underage drinking, and support the victims of violent impaired and drinking and driving crimes.

March–April 2003: MADD Hawaii launches statewide underage drinking prevention media campaign. Underage drinking messages featured in print publications, TV ads/PSAs, radio spots, theater ads and milk carton panels. MADD Hawaii hosts first Annual Alcohol Conference on Prevention of Underage Drinking.

Oct 25, 2024 · During MADD Hawaii’s 40th Anniversary Year, we will feature an Honoree each month who was recognized at the anniversary event held at Washington Place on Feb. 12, 2024. MADD Hawaii honored those who have made a significant difference in the fight to prevent drunk and drugged driving and in furthering MADD’s mission in Hawaii.
