Alexa app on Windows computer requires the support of Cortana, as Microsoft is going to discontinue Cortana, I believe that is what led to the decision of discontinuing the Alexa app. Sorry.. I know it is not great news..

Apr 19, 2023 · I found issues just today with the Alexa app on my Windows 11 PC. Every time I minimised the window while working, a minute or so later it popped up again. It was driving me crazy, so I just closed it completely, but the same thing happened. It kept popping up. In the end, finding it very tiresome, I uninstalled it.
