But, on most models after the mid 2010's, they all have a clutch on the alternator as it allows BMW a slight corporate fuel economy increase, saving them from having to pay fees on gas guzzlers.

Feb 22, 2008 · Replaced my 04 X5 battery Hey zkf6zql, Thanx for the pics. They really helped. I put a trickle charger on the X5 to keep power on the system. After replaceing the battery, I reconnected the battery and started up. I had to do the wheel lock thing and it reset the 4X light on the dash. The only thing I had to reset was the time and date.

Apr 30, 2021 · Sounds like you might have a battery drain & the car is telling you that the battery is low charged. How old is the battery? the easiest temporary fix is to put a battery charger on the under hood charging terminals. If this is a "low battery" issue, it won't fix it but will help keep some charge on the battery.

Naturally did some research and found a Bosch battery designed for european cars which is perfectly suited to the cars specs regarding dimentions and CCA 800 for just $275 (part number 60038) including a 15% discount fitting inclusive.

Feb 19, 2023 · I have a 2011 535i xdrive with 55k on it. I’m trying to locate the sos battery, I have had the sos malfunction light on for a year now. The dealership wants 2k to replace and they said there is no guarantee that will fix the problem. I have purchased that battery, but it is not in the head liner unless I’m not looking far enough.

May 1, 2021 · If you bought your '18 BMW from a dealer just a month ago the cost of replacing the auxiliary battery should not even be in doubt. The car should be covered under the 4yr/50K new car warranty. I suspect the pre-owned unit may have sat on the lot for a while too - contributing to the battery condition.
