However, selecting the SIM-free version cost $30 more. I am wondering if I can just buy the AT&T version of iPhone 12 and pop my existing AT&T pre-paid SIM card into it and use it?

Dec 4, 2024 · But yeah I think the back glass on an iPhone 12 requires a full shell replacement - i.e. removing all the internal components and putting them in a new body. That and the smashed front glass may cost you more than the phone is worth. Was it iPhone 14 that finally allowed removing the back glass separately to the mid-frame?
