Jul 27, 2023 · Once the tire pressure is reduced, position the cut at the top of the wheel (so the superglue will not run down the tire). Then squeeze/flex the tire at the cut to open the cut and then create a small pool of superglue in the cut opening. Stop squeezing the tire and excess superglue will be pressed out of the cut.

Jul 9, 2015 · If you decide to keep driving on this tire, don't use superglue on that rubber flap. When superglue sets it becomes rigid and brittle. The tire will flex a bit when you drive, and break the glue bond in a short time. Instead, use the rubber glue from a bike tire puncture repair kit.

Jun 23, 2020 · I'm looking at the tire and there are matching scuffs over the E and the I, there's a long scrape in the U that lines up with the middle gouge, and i'll bet that there are marks in the shadows for that first scrape in the rim.

You can attempt to patch the exterior tread damage with shoe goo or a similar product (there’s a bike tire specific one but I don’t recall the name.) I’d keep an eye on that damage though. Sidewalls are hard places to patch. As others have said, a boot inside will help.
