Jan 30, 2018 · If your second monitor goes in to Sleep mode after connecting it to your laptop, it could be that some settings of the Power Options in Windows 10 are incorrectly configured. We recommend that you restore all power settings to default and see if the second monitor still goes to Sleep after connecting it.

Apr 9, 2023 · It will only work with one external monitor. Without the HDMI cable connected to the laptop, the monitor with the VGA connection works. Once the HDMI cable from the second monitor is connected to the laptop simultaneously, the first monitor with VGA connection will go black with "D-SUB NO SIGNAL". The monitor connected via HDMI takes over and work.

I need to be able to adjust them independently, since the scaling percentage doesn't seem to be properly calibrated for multiple monitors. The Surface Laptop Studio uses its 2 USB-C ports for external monitors. You do have an option to connect your 2 external monitors to each USB-C ports of the device using an HDMI to USB-C cable.
