Fort Worth, TX, January 18, 2024 —The Amon Carter Museum of American Art (the Carter) announces its 2024 exhibition schedule showcasing the Museum’s extensive artist archives, new work by living artists, and highlights from the Carter’s works on paper collection, including artwork that has never been on view before.

The Carter's collection celebrates the breadth and depth of American art, from early daguerreotypes to site-specific installations by contemporary artists.

The Amon Carter Museum of American Art is supported, in part, by the generosity of Carter members and donors, and by grants from Arts Fort Worth, the City of Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Tourism Public Improvement District, and the Texas Commission on the Arts.

The Museum opened in 1961 as the Amon Carter Museum of Western Art, and the Washington Observer wrote that with its founding Fort Worth had “inherited a cultural legacy of national magnitude.”
