Here is mine: If the gun has a serial number with no letter prefix, it was made between 1909 and 1919. If the gun has a single letter prefix, it was made between 1920 and 1929.

Looks like you can’t pin down the specific year, but depending on the way the serial is formatted you can estimate the decade. Yours, with the 1 letter suffix, is from 1920-1929.

May 13, 2012 · The Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Ring Trigger Opening Model single shot was made between 1902 to 1908 which makes it between 110 and 104 years old. I suspect the locking mechanism is worn and will not hold under the shock of firing.

I believe it originated from Bill Goforth, who was the resident expert of Iver Johnson’s and H&R. He pointed out that is it not know if they were manufactured in the US and shipped to Canada to be stamped. All numbers= 1909-1919 1 letter suffix= 1920-1929

Sep 15, 2005 · Hello Care-2: Iver Johnson kind of owned the single shot shotgun market up until the end of WWII However there's a lot of us out here who's first gun was an Iver Johnson champion. What is really going to be the price driver here is the barrel length. They came in 26,28, and 30 inches in the 20ga. if I remember right with a Full choke.

As with any old single barrel inexpensive shotgun, the value is going to depend on the guns condition. I have to tell you right now. it ain't going to pay your college tuition or for your retirement.
